Our Archbishop: "A Man In Whom There Is No Guile"
It is written, “Jesus saw Nathaniel approaching and said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no guile.” [John 1:47]
++Nathaniel D. Isaac, Psy.D., is the Founder and Chief Executive of Labourers for Christ Center For Reconstruction in Virginia. He serves within Labourers For Christ Ministries and the Labourers for Christ Apostolic Ecumenical Network in Chicago, Illinois under the Presiding Prelate and Founder, Apostle Dr. S.A. Houghton. He was consecrated into the Bishopric as Coadjutor on August 15th, 2014 and was elevated into the office of Archbishop Saturday, August 18th, of 2018.
Dr. Isaac has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Elizabeth City State University (1998); Masters in the disciplines of Biomedical Science and Clinical Psychology; and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).
His background in mental healthcare includes psychological assessment, individual/couples therapy, and Christian counseling. He is also geared towards facilitating mental health seminars/trainings for community and church leaders in efforts to reduce the stigma of mental illness, strengthen their ability of when and how to use mental health resources, and further aid in the development and improvement of collegial relationship with mental health professionals.
His ministerial origins began at the age of 21 when he publicly confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior during the watch night service at Bethel Restoration Center on December 31st, 1997. The mark of this confession was his baptism on August 15th, 1998. From that moment he submitted himself to the teachings of the church and he was called to ministry in December of 1999. He worked with Resurrection House, First Love Alive Victory Army, and So Shall It Be Ministry to further his training in ministry even after his departure to Illinois in 2001 to attend graduate school at Midwestern University.
During his first year in graduate school, he was ordained as an elder and release to do the work of the ministry while in Illinois. Despite the favor God granted him throughout his graduate studies at Midwestern University, he began to experience massive spiritual starvation as a sign of God's confirmation of the life He was calling him into. In 2003, he stumbled upon Labourers For Christ Word Life Center and met God face to face. This encounter became the most pivotal moment in Dr. Isaac's life as the Lord revealed His' destiny for him. From that moment, he served at Labourers For Christ Word Life Center, and upon marriage, he and his wife were planted in the ministry in 2007.
Today, Dr. Isaac serves in the office and position of Metropolitan Archbishop of Labourers For Christ Apostolic Ecumenical Network, assisting the Presiding Prelate.
He also serves as Chief Executive of Labourers For Christ Center For Reconstruction, he provides Bible-based teaching and is moving the organization in the direction of providing outreach services and programs to individuals who desire to deepen their relationship with God and discover their purpose. He has traveled internationally to India, Turkey, Greece, Israel, Italy, and Egypt as part of his’ spiritual journey to understand the impact and the historical-biblical roots of the Gospel in which he believes. He is married to Pastor Tandeka and has two sons.
